This day was an extremely challenging day as a mom for me. It was one of those days that your children just don't want to cooperate the way you want them to right when you want them to. I was running errands with my mom and the boys were loosing their minds. Everything naughty you could do, they were doing it. I was also by the way, running on a very short fuse, so this was not a shining day for me. We dropped my mom off at the chiropractor and then I was off to kill an entire hour with the hoodlems. I started to panick. I was already at the end of my rope. I found myself driving past the temple and then it hit me!! Go there!! I whipped into the parking lot and got out of the car. The boys were instantly silent. They both were so eager to see what their next adventure was going to be. We stood in front of the temple and I asked the boys, " If they could feel Jesus in their hearts?" They both said yes. I then asked, " can you feel him there when you are fighting and being naughty?" They both said no. I then said, " don't you want to always feel him?" They both said yes. Yay!! They got it!! It was a proud moment as a mommy that day. The boys loved walking on the temple grounds, asking questions, sitting on the bench that Nick proposed to me on. They didn't want to leave. When we finally left, the boys hopped in the car, buckled their seatbelts and off we went without a peep. Migraine gone and a happy rest of the day.
What a neat learning experience. I might need a temple day today with my kids.... or maybe it's for me...
